This summer, Leicester Mela 2026 invited Jack In A Box Circus Entertainment back once again. We joined a fantastic line-up of artists at one of the UK’s largest South Asian cultural festivals. Together, we helped bring the celebrations to life.
Among the star attractions was Rani, our beloved Elephant on Parade. She charmed festival-goers of all ages as she made her way through the crowds. Rani even met former MP Keith Vaz during the festivities, making for one of the standout photo moments of the day.
Professor Patel added a splash of colour and comedy to proceedings at Leicester Mela 2026. One of our longstanding performers, he delighted audiences with his Bollywood-inspired Punch and Judy show, “The Punjeet and Judy-Gee Show.” The show blends the traditional seaside puppet format with vibrant Bollywood music, costume and humour. It’s a brilliant example of how classic British entertainment can be reimagined for a modern, multicultural audience. As a result, the laughs came thick and fast throughout the day.
Rounding out our presence at the Leicester Mela 2026, one of our stilt walkers towered above the crowds. This added a further dose of spectacle to an already vibrant event. It also provided plenty of unmissable photo opportunities for families enjoying the festival.
Leicester Mela has long been a highlight of the summer events calendar, and we were thrilled to be invited back once again this year. From larger-than-life elephants to Bollywood puppetry and towering stilt performers, our team brought a genuine sense of wonder to every corner of the festival grounds.
