We were delighted to return to Essex on Saturday 21st September with The Elephants on Parade. This year’s Witham Street Festival 2024 once again filled the town centre with colour, energy and community spirit.

Throughout the day, Raja the Elephant roamed the bustling streets and quickly became a highlight of the celebration. Families gathered to greet him, children waved excitedly and visitors paused to capture photos. As a result, the atmosphere felt even more vibrant and interactive. Live walkabout entertainment creates moments that feel spontaneous and Raja delivered exactly that.

Meanwhile, local performers, traders and community groups brought the town to life. Music echoed through the streets, food stalls attracted steady queues and shoppers explored the wide variety of attractions on offer. Against this lively backdrop, our giant elephant created a striking visual centrepiece that could be seen from afar. Consequently, footfall increased around each appearance, drawing new crowds wherever he travelled.

Large-scale walkabout acts work especially well at outdoor events. They move freely, engage directly with audiences and transform everyday public spaces into immersive experiences. In addition, they encourage interaction and create memorable photo opportunities, which helps extend the reach of the event on social media.
