We had a fantastic day with The Elephants on Parade in Witham celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Witham Puppet Festival.
A celebration of puppets all over the town. There are giant puppets up to 20 feet tall, performing puppets, shows, storytelling sessions, activities and even a giant robot. The festival, which is organised by Witham Town Council, has taken place since 1999. There’s a different theme every year and for 2017 it’s ‘under the sea’. Lots of the puppets and activities will be sea-themed including underwater creatures and pirates.
